You’re An 80’s Child If You Remember These

Looking around today do you ever feel some of the things from your 80’s childhood should still be around?. Thinking about them probably brings back a feeling of nostalgia. Some were annoying fads but I’ll bet some of them you probably still miss?

Technically the first soda stream was invented in 1903 but it wasn’t till the 1980’s that everyone wanted to make their own fizzy pop. A SodaStream was the handy little machine that allowed you to make your own fizzy drinks at home. The thought of going through so much effort for a fizzy drink probably seems silly now not to mention the mess you’d make and the costs of the syrup and gas cylinders.

Half a dozen walking talking cats, and evil mummy and a planet called Third Earth. If you know this is the plot to Thundercats you are definitely a child of the eighties, or at least a sci-fi fanatic. Thundercats was one of the most iconic cartoons of the 1980’s to hit your televisions and featured a lion, tiger, cheater, panther and two small cat like creatures. It saw them trying to protect the Eye of Thundera from the resident bad guy.

Today we have more TV channels than we can ever watch. Between all these channels they’ll show just about everything from every genre all round the world and play all day and all night. However this wasn’t always the case. The chances are if you are a child of the 80’s you’ll have spent more time watching a small blond girl with a clown playing noughts and crosses. If you don’t know what this means you’re lucky, or just very young. Any child who turned their television on first thing in the morning would often be greeted by her and her clown whilst waiting for their early morning cartoons to start.
