The Fonejacker to make a third series
E4’s hit comedy The Fonejacker will make a third series, with the first and second series making such a huge impact on the web its been on the cards for a while now, the brand new series is to be played on e4.com and leading social network MySpace before its television transmission.
As with the first series, fans of the award-winning show, which returns for a third run of 10 programmes, will have an opportunity to view the first episode at www.myspace.com with the full TV episode split into four segments. The first part will be available on MySpace from May 2nd. Segments two and three will follow on the 7th and 8th, with the final part available on the 9th. The Fonejacker is broadcast on E4 on the 11th of May at 10pm.
As part of the collaboration, The Fonejacker is being given a huge advertising presence across the MySpace network in the UK, including extensive homepage advertising. The Fonejacker MySpace community boasts over 10,000 friends.
MySpace and E4.com will also show Unseen Fonejacker episodes, a series of short online specials that run in conjunction with the main series, featuring new characters from kyvan’s Novak (the shows creator) arsenal. The first Unseen Fonejacker clips will be available after episode 1 goes out on E4. Making a special guest appearance in the first episode is James Marsters who starred as Spike, the punk-goth vampire, in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. “I am really excited about the character I am playing. I can’t say too much about him, except he is naughty and a bit of a psychopath.”
